Isidro Cordareo was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Todd Gronow in the 18th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Isidro Cordareo saved Cantadero from getting behind. After having played for 21 minutes, Ildefonso Foro managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Barbieri de Ituzaingó FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ildefonso Foro was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The Barbieri de Ituzaingó FC fans' excitement grew in the 23rd match minute when Barbieri de Ituzaingó FC's Todd Gronow looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-4 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Hilario Abadia got a throw-in 30 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Hilario Beltran. Enzo Cope might have been able to make a better finish in the 32nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Isidro Cordareo. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Enzo Cope ran back to his position shaking his head. 34 minutes into the game, Barbieri de Ituzaingó FC's Todd Gronow nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Isidro Cordareo made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-6. After some careless play in the Cantadero defense, Todd Gronow kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Isidro Cordareo. The Cantadero fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Isidro Cordareo should have stopped the shot. In the 44thth minute of the game Todd Gronow who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Cantadero's Isidro Cordareo was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Hilario Abadia hit a great freekick 45 minutes into the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Todd Gronow in the 47th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Isidro Cordareo saved Cantadero from getting behind. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-7 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Todd Gronow's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Isidro Cordareo read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 51st minute of play. The crowd rose to their feet as Todd Gronow kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Isidro Cordareo. That made the score 0-8 in the 54 minute of play. The supporters of Barbieri de Ituzaingó FC booed when Cantadero was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 59 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ramon Cuarto didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience was convinced that Todd Gronow's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Isidro Cordareo was relentless in the 60th minute of the game. After a rather tough play, Cantadero's Bernabe Guib got a free kick in the 63rd minute. After a defensive mix-up in Cantadero's zone, Todd Gronow stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Isidro Cordareo came out of the goal and Todd Gronow tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Enzo Cope came up free with the goalie in the 70th minute, the Barbieri de Ituzaingó FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Enzo Cope couldn't finish the play. Barbieri de Ituzaingó FC's Andreas Harlén was substituted for Zula Turek. Isidro Cordareo didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Todd Gronow went, in the 74th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-9 was the resulting score. 77 minutes in the game Hilario Abadia did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to Hilario Beltran. Hilario Abadia got a throw-in 81 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Hilario Beltran. Barbieri de Ituzaingó FC's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
