The audience thought a goal was coming when Hildeberto Carvalho got free with Raul Chumo in the 68th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 70 minutes into the match, Club Pucará's goal looked a bit too open when Anselmo Luar came free, but Raul Chumo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Club Pucará booed when ACF Fiorentina was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 72 match minutes in a wonderful position. Horia Anisie didn't get a good kick on the ball. Club Pucará succeeded in salvaging a draw, even though ACF Fiorentina had controlled the match.
