Arnaldo Oidor fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 4th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Luis Mark having to interfere. If Arnaldo Oidor had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 6th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Arnaldo Oidor received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 12th minute. Luis Mark tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Congo Bongo's Petre Traian proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 15th minute of the match, managed to save Congo Bongo from getting a goal against them. Carrisito's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Sergio Austin was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. After 78 played minutes Carrisito got a freekick which was hit by Prudencio Abaurre. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Damaso Sancho in the 80th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Luis Mark prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Carrisito's Luis Mark played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Froilan Iaki in the 82nd minute of play. Luis Mark showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Damaso Sancho, who was totally free with the ball in the 86th minute. In the 88th minute, Damaso Sancho left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Congo Bongo fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-5. Carrisito's Apolo Roland was substituted for Jeronimo Neto. Congo Bongo's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
