The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 0-1 became the score in the 3rd minute when Leonel Criston elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Felipe Ekaitz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Isidoro Bilbo in the 7th minute of play. Felipe Ekaitz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Leonel Criston, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 9th minute the ball was on its way in behind Ireland 1921's goalkeeper Generoso Gaxan, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 11th match minute, Club Atlético Talleres was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Luis Chaime to maneuver through the defense. In the 16th minute, Leonel Criston left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Ireland 1921 fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. After some careless play in the Club Atlético Talleres defense, Boguslaw Kaider kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Felipe Ekaitz. The Club Atlético Talleres fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Felipe Ekaitz should have stopped the shot. When the match had gone on for 24 minutes, Leonel Criston put it in 0-4 from a short distance just to the right of Felipe Ekaitz. An unexpectedly hard shot by Leonel Criston in the 29th minute of play forced Club Atlético Talleres's goalkeeper Felipe Ekaitz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. But to his dismay, Isidoro Bilbo quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-7. In the 44th minute Isidoro Bilbo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Felipe Ekaitz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Boguslaw Kaider in the 46th minute of play forced Club Atlético Talleres's goalkeeper Felipe Ekaitz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-7.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Ulryk Nakoneczny made a kick off. In the 95th minute Isidoro Bilbo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Felipe Ekaitz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Club Atlético Talleres's Felipe Ekaitz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Herbert Banaszak in the 96th minute of play. Ulryk Nakoneczny hit a great freekick 97 minutes into the match. The Club Atlético Talleres fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Ireland 1921 were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
