Gerardo Ramone's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Tales Falcão read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 2nd minute of play. When the match had gone on for 4 minutes, Isaac Orlin took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Tales Falcão to make any attempt to save it. Tales Falcão made a fantastic save in the 15th minute, when Isaias Urbes sent off a good shot on target. Söncke Gärtner made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marcos Gustau in the 16th minute of play. Higinio Enekoitz hit a great freekick 16 minutes into the match. 18 minutes into the match, Boca Juniors's goalkeeper Tales Falcão had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Isaias Urbes. 19 minutes into the match, Boca Juniors's goal looked a bit too open when Gerardo Ramone came free, but Tales Falcão reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Söncke Gärtner showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rogelio Duarte in the 23rd minute of the match. 27 minutes into the game, Boca Juniors's Marcos Gustau nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Söncke Gärtner made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. After 30th play minutes Isaias Urbes shot 2-1, a short shot which went by Tales Falcão and just under the crossbar into goal. The supporters of Boca Juniors booed when Gioiese Calcio was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 33 match minutes in a wonderful position. Abelardo Fonso didn't get a good kick on the ball. Söncke Gärtner showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Marcos Gustau, who was totally free with the ball in the 37th minute. Gioiese Calcio's Söncke Gärtner played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marcos Gustau in the 39th minute of play. In the 42nd minute, Cecilio Txerran hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The long shot by Abelardo Fonso in the 43rd minute really tested Tales Falcão's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. 44 minutes into the match, Gioiese Calcio's goal looked a bit too open when Rogelio Duarte came free, but Söncke Gärtner reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Isaias Urbes got free with Tales Falcão in the 45th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.
The wind increased when Isaias Urbes made the kick off in the second half. After 55 minutes of play, Gioiese Calcio's Roberto Eskuin made it 3-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Tales Falcão was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 60th minute of the match Gioiese Calcio got a corner. Boca Juniors's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Abelardo Fonso ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner led Gioiese Calcio's Abelardo Fonso to fire away a dangerous shot which Tales Falcão despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. In the 61st minute, Isaias Urbes made a precise shot to the right of Tales Falcão. Boca Juniors's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 4-2. Isaac Orlin took the ball and in the 65 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Tales Falcão. Tales Falcão dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 5-2. Söncke Gärtner made a fantastic save in the 68th minute, when Marcos Gustau sent off a good shot on target. After some careless play in the Boca Juniors defense, Isaias Urbes kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Tales Falcão. The Boca Juniors fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Tales Falcão should have stopped the shot. Gioiese Calcio's Söncke Gärtner proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 77th minute of the match, managed to save Gioiese Calcio from getting a goal against them. Tales Falcão made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Isaias Urbes in the 78th minute of play. Isaias Urbes took the ball and in the 79 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Tales Falcão. Tales Falcão dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 7-2. Tales Falcão took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Isaac Orlin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Gerardo Ramone was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 88 minutes into the match. 87 minutes into the game, one of Gioiese Calcio:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Gioiese Calcio:s Söncke Gärtner showed great skill when he stopped Sabino Brites:s penalty. In the 89th minute, Sabino Brites made a precise shot to the right of Söncke Gärtner. Gioiese Calcio's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 7-3. Abelardo Fonso charged in rather forcefully in the 97th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Abelardo Fonso the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Gioiese Calcio had won after a very even match.
