It was Qiu Hong Jun who took care of the corner kick. 6 minutes into the match, Santa Teresa FC's goal looked a bit too open when Laureano Rameriz came free, but Mateo Vedillo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 9th minute, Santa Teresa FC's Martin Ladio dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. Mateo Vedillo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fermin Furtado, who was totally free with the ball in the 17th minute. 18 minutes into the match, Fuerte Esperanza FC's Fermin Furtado sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Mateo Vedillo narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 19th minute of the match Fuerte Esperanza FC got a corner. Santa Teresa FC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Qiu Hong Jun ran over to the corner to take the kick. Chris-George Henrix was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Qiu Hong Jun during the 21st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 21st minute, Qiu Hong Jun hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Hector Hurko made a fantastic save in the 22nd minute, when Paolo Beila sent off a good shot on target. After 28 minutes of play, Fuerte Esperanza FC's Laureano Rameriz made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Mateo Vedillo was left in no man's land by his defense there! The supporters of Santa Teresa FC booed when Fuerte Esperanza FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 30 match minutes in a wonderful position. Salvador Raitin didn't get a good kick on the ball. Tomas Ekialde charged in rather forcefully in the 46th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Tomas Ekialde the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Fuerte Esperanza FC booed when Santa Teresa FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 46 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tomas Ekialde didn't get a good kick on the ball.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Laureano Rameriz to make the kick off. A collision led to Santa Teresa FC getting a freekick after 51 minutes play. Paolo Beila hit a great ball. If Fermin Furtado had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Laureano Rameriz in the 60th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Mateo Vedillo saved Santa Teresa FC from getting behind. Laureano Rameriz hit a great freekick 64 minutes into the match. Santa Teresa FC's Martin Ladio got a good chance for a goal in the 65th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 74 minutes in the game, the ball went up into the seats when Fuerte Esperanza FC's Chris-George Henrix fired away a shot that was just a little bit too high. He walked away shaking his head. Mateo Vedillo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Laureano Rameriz in the 77th minute of the match. If Laureano Rameriz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. A collision led to Santa Teresa FC getting a freekick after 82 minutes play. Ermanno Limitone hit a great ball. Mateo Vedillo made a fantastic save in the 83rd minute, when Fermin Furtado sent off a good shot on target. After 87 played minutes Santa Teresa FC got a freekick which was hit by Tomas Ekialde. Fermin Furtado struck a weak shot in the 88th minute. Mateo Vedillo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Fuerte Esperanza FC. 90 minutes into the match, Fuerte Esperanza FC's goal looked a bit too open when Ariel Gilen came free, but Hector Hurko reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Salvador Raitin kicked well hit freekick during the 92nd minute of the match. Fermin Furtado who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 94thth minute tested the skills of Mateo Vedillo when he managed to save the team from getting behind. The supporters of Fuerte Esperanza FC booed when Santa Teresa FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 95 match minutes in a wonderful position. Martin Ladio didn't get a good kick on the ball. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the Fuerte Esperanza FC players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
