The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Motor Alma y Sangre's Silvio Jax played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Silviano Huilcaman in the 9th minute of play. 12 minutes had been played when some careless play by Motor Alma y Sangre's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Samuel Pereira was slow to take the kick. During this time Club Atlético Magallanes's players had a chance to rest. A well done corner resulted in Leonardo Naelio drilling the ball in to score 0-1 behind Motor Alma y Sangre's goalkeeper. Erasmo Luke's late challenge caught a Motor Alma y Sangre's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Erasmo Luke helped the player get up and apologised. Erasmo Luke hit a great freekick 18 minutes into the match. With a little luck, Club Atlético Magallanes's Jimeno Nevada got control of the ball when Edmondo Odisio tried to sneak it across the goal line. 26 minutes into the match, Motor Alma y Sangre's goal looked a bit too open when Silviano Huilcaman came free, but Silvio Jax reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Silvio Jax took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gavino Rami, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Silviano Huilcaman kicked well hit freekick during the 35th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gavino Rami in the 39th minute of play forced Motor Alma y Sangre's goalkeeper Silvio Jax to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Alfred Hitchcock received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 43rd minute. Jimeno Nevada tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Jimeno Nevada showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Eusebio Ferran in the 45th minute of the match. Anier Sindo hit a great freekick 47 minutes into the match. After the first half Club Atlético Magallanes were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

In the 66th minute of the match Richmond Kustermans shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Jimeno Nevada showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Jimeno Nevada showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Eusebio Ferran, who was totally free with the ball in the 68th minute. Silvio Jax made an important save on a dangerous shot by Samuel Pereira in the 77th minute. Club Atlético Magallanes's Ahmet Demirci was substituted for Tadeo Precioso. Club Atlético Magallanes's Jimeno Nevada played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eusebio Ferran in the 84th minute of play. Silvio Jax made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Taci Argün in the 86th minute of play. Silvio Jax made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ahmet Demirci in the 91st minute. In the 93rd minute, Leonardo Naelio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When the final whistle sounded Club Atlético Magallanes left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Motor Alma y Sangre.
