The audience was convinced that Maurício de Carvalho's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Mano Dios was relentless in the 31st minute of the game. After a defensive mix-up in DIEGO ARMANDO MARADONA's zone, Felipe Presebal stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Mano Dios came out of the goal and Felipe Presebal tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Dênis Medeiros got free with Mano Dios in the 73rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Dênis Medeiros blasted a shot towards the goal in the 75th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Mano Dios having to make a save. In the 79th minute Dênis Medeiros shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mano Dios saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Sisiguasi AFC's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
