In the 7th minute of the match Todo ROJO got a corner. chacarita juniors's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Hugon Snaza ran over to the corner to take the kick. A well-hit corner resulted in Isidro Rosalio heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. chacarita juniors's Epifanio Benet played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Donato Guillen in the 11th minute of play. After 12 played minutes chacarita juniors got a freekick which was hit by Mateo Manny. Todo ROJO's Roberto-Carlos Abbondanzieri proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 15th minute of the match, managed to save Todo ROJO from getting a goal against them. In the 24th minute, Donato Guillen ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Epifanio Benet was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-3. The supporters of Todo ROJO booed when chacarita juniors was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 27 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ricardo Munio didn't get a good kick on the ball. Fabio Umbruso fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Epifanio Benet having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in chacarita juniors's zone, Donato Guillen stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Epifanio Benet came out of the goal and Donato Guillen tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Hugon Snaza fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Epifanio Benet having to interfere. If Donato Guillen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 46th minute, Fabio Umbruso left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Todo ROJO fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-4. The chacarita juniors players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Todo ROJO were winning 0-4.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Donato Guillen was the one to do the kick off. Isidro Rosalio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 52nd minute. Epifanio Benet tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 56 minutes, Fabio Umbruso managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Todo ROJO's supporters crossed their fingers, but Fabio Umbruso was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 63rd minute, Ricardo Munio ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Roberto-Carlos Abbondanzieri was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-5. 69 minutes into the game, Todo ROJO's Isidro Rosalio nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Epifanio Benet made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-6. When the match had gone on for 72 minutes, Hugon Snaza took a quick shot and it went in 1-7 without a chance for Epifanio Benet to make any attempt to save it. In the 77th minute Fabio Umbruso shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Epifanio Benet saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some careless play in the chacarita juniors defense, Fabio Umbruso kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Epifanio Benet. The chacarita juniors fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Epifanio Benet should have stopped the shot. In the 83rd minute, Todo ROJO's Donato Guillen dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-9. When Todo ROJO's Isidro Rosalio in the 85th minute got a chance for a shot 85th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Roberto-Carlos Abbondanzieri showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ricardo Munio, who was totally free with the ball in the 87th minute. Epifanio Benet made an important save on a dangerous shot by Hugon Snaza in the 89th minute. In the 91st minute, Omar Corderun hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Todo ROJO played a much better game than chacarita juniors and deserved their victory. The chacarita juniors players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
