The crowd rose to their feet as Fecha Libre's Martins Palermo slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Epifanio Benet. That made the score 8-0 after 37 minutes of play. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Ricardo Munio made a kick off. 54 minutes into the game, Martins Palermo cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 11-0. Epifanio Benet was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Amador Kelemen sent away a hard shot on goal in the 58th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. The attack was good, but when Martins Palermo in the 58th minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. If Martins Palermo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Epifanio Benet showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Martins Palermo in the 60th minute of the match. After having played for 63 minutes, Martins Palermo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Fecha Libre's supporters crossed their fingers, but Martins Palermo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Igli Tare scored 12-0 in the 66th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Epifanio Benet, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. When Omar Corderun fell near the penalty area in the 69th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored chacarita juniors's protests and gave Omar Corderun a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Fecha Libre booed when chacarita juniors was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 69 match minutes in a wonderful position. Omar Corderun didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Igli Tare had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. Epifanio Benet was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Gustavo Modestio made in the 94th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Efrain Misael. Epifanio Benet stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ulises Hustaz's shot from short distance in the 95th minute.
