The referee ignored Spams's protests and gave Reynaldo Weather a yellow card for diving instead. Reynaldo Weather kicked well hit freekick during the 3rd minute of the match. David Floreanu could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 7th minute of the match, but Andoni Zubizarreta made a huge save. Andoni Zubizarreta made an important save on a dangerous shot by David Floreanu in the 9th minute. When Abel Mazza came up free with the goalie in the 12th minute, the Spams fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Abel Mazza couldn't finish the play. The audience thought a goal was coming when David Floreanu got free with Andoni Zubizarreta in the 18th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. With a couple of smart ball manuevers David Floreanu in the 19th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Andoni Zubizarreta saved Spams from getting behind. 20 minutes into the match, ATYLAS FC's goal looked a bit too open when Abel Mazza came free, but Orlando Mercurio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Orlando Mercurio took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Abel Mazza, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 33rd minute Ermegildo Rosio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Andoni Zubizarreta saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Tiago Gabriel Hajs hit a great ball. After some careless play in the Spams defense, David Floreanu kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Andoni Zubizarreta. The Spams fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Andoni Zubizarreta should have stopped the shot. In the 85th minute, Abel Mazza ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Orlando Mercurio was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-1. Andoni Zubizarreta made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from David Floreanu in the 88th minute of play. Fabio Vimaro's late challenge caught a ATYLAS FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Fabio Vimaro helped the player get up and apologised. David Floreanu took the ball and in the 95 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Andoni Zubizarreta. Andoni Zubizarreta dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 5-1. There was no doubt that ATYLAS FC were the better team. ATYLAS FC's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
