An unexpectedly hard shot by Alvaro Abar in the 24th minute of play forced DIVISORIA's goalkeeper Gualterio Sadurni to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 25th minute, Alvaro Abar made a precise shot to the right of Gualterio Sadurni. DIVISORIA's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. After a rather tough play, Mercedes's Anier Mon got a free kick in the 27th minute. Gualterio Sadurni guarding the goal like a pit bull was extremely focused and managed to reach the ball just by the crossbar before it went in. After a rather tough play, Mercedes's Alvaro Abar got a free kick in the 41st minute. In the 45th minute, Alvaro Abar hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Walter Connor to make the kick off. DIVISORIA's Gualterio Sadurni proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 51st minute of the match, managed to save DIVISORIA from getting a goal against them. A sloppy throw-in by Filiberto Pinto in the 59th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by DIVISORIA's Agustin Perutxo. Jan-Ivar Nordmo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 91st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a rather tough play, DIVISORIA's Victorino Rodriguez got a free kick in the 92nd minute. Jan-Ivar Nordmo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 94th minute of the match, but Gualterio Sadurni made a huge save. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Mercedes walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
