In the 20th minute Steinar Stålhandske shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tomasz Lagiewniki saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 21st minute the ball was on its way in behind La sexta's goalkeeper Tomasz Lagiewniki, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 23rd minute Steinar Stålhandske shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tomasz Lagiewniki saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Steinar Stålhandske's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Tomasz Lagiewniki read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 26th minute of play. A nice corner shot did that Agustin Rego got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Tomasz Lagiewniki quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. A collision led to GUSESI getting a freekick after 33 minutes play. Carmelo Sanduru hit a great ball. Gualterio Bidari took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 34th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Thibaut Courtois. GUSESI's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Tomasz Lagiewniki showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Steinar Stålhandske in the 36th minute of the match. If Gualterio Bidari had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 41st match minute, La sexta was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Domingos Rodriguez to maneuver through the defense. In the 44th minute GUSESI were awarded a corner. Agustin Rego went to the cornerflag to take it. A nice corner shot did that Benito Paulin got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Tomasz Lagiewniki quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. In the 45th minute, Dante Lorencio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

With a couple of smart ball manuevers Steinar Stålhandske in the 56th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Tomasz Lagiewniki saved La sexta from getting behind. Gualterio Bidari was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 61st minute. La sexta's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. In the 62nd minute, Leandro Montxo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Tomasz Lagiewniki made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Steinar Stålhandske in the 64th minute of play. After 65 minutes, Carlos Cordara mouthed his way into the referee's book. Benito Paulin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 90th minute. Tomasz Lagiewniki tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. GUSESI had won after a very even match.
