Calaveras AFC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Salinas FC the free kick. Paolo Manni kicked well hit freekick during the 27th minute of the match. The supporters of Salinas FC booed when Calaveras AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 28 match minutes in a wonderful position. Marcelo Argenis didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Blas Oinatz in the 54th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Elvio Lohitzun saved Salinas FC from getting behind. After having played for 58 minutes, Erasmo Erasto managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Calaveras AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Erasmo Erasto was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Ambrosio Frasco came up free with the goalie in the 61st minute, the Salinas FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ambrosio Frasco couldn't finish the play. The referee ignored Calaveras AFC's protests and gave Marcelo Argenis a yellow card for diving instead.
