Federico Avila was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 6th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Orlando Chepe made a fantastic save in the 19th minute, when Jacinto Cordarrel sent off a good shot on target. Rosendo Gustau made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Federico Avila in the 21st minute of play. Rosendo Gustau took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Federico Avila, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 24 minutes into the match, Manoel Xavier had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Rosendo Gustau. In the 37th minute Leopoldo Ladio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rosendo Gustau saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 41st minute, Distribuidora 25 de mayo's Hipolito Aurken dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-1. After a rather tough play, Hydra's Ruben Reyes got a free kick in the 46th minute. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Rosendo Gustau made an important save on a dangerous shot by Manoel Xavier in the 50th minute. Manoel Xavier received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 53rd minute. Rosendo Gustau tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 59 minutes into the match, Hydra's goal looked a bit too open when Jacinto Cordarrel came free, but Orlando Chepe reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Distribuidora 25 de mayo's Gaizka Aranguren was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Orlando Chepe in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Manoel Xavier fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 68th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rosendo Gustau having to interfere. Hydra's Camilo Caradaro was substituted for Laurin Roca. Hydra made a substitution. Domingos Taurino replaced Bruno Lander. The referee gave Hydra a penalty, 73 minutes into the game. The audience thought a goal was coming when Manoel Xavier got free with Rosendo Gustau in the 80th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Mario Emmanuel in the 81st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Rosendo Gustau prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Distribuidora 25 de mayo made a substitution. Benito Camela replaced Modesto Monico. After a rather tough play, Distribuidora 25 de mayo's Hipolito Aurken got a free kick in the 86th minute. In the 95th minute, one of Distribuidora 25 de mayo:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Distribuidora 25 de mayo. Rosendo Gustau had in the 96thth minute some difficulties stopping Mario Emmanuel's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. 96 minutes into the game, Mario Emmanuel cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-3. Rosendo Gustau was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Distribuidora 25 de mayo's Rosendo Gustau played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mario Emmanuel in the 98th minute of play.
