With his leg Mateo Santana managed to avoid a goal in the 12thth minute, when Betbeder FC's Fabian Zăreanu fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. In the 13th minute, one of Duendes Verdes:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Duendes Verdes. In the 15th minute, the referee gave Betbeder FC a penalty. Arnaldo Roano looked confident and blasted the ball into goal by the left post, totally unstoppable for Mateo Santana. Duendes Verdes's Mateo Santana played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Angel Fernendo in the 30th minute of play. If Angel Fernendo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Through an outstanding action, after 34 minutes, Mateo Santana successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Fabian Zăreanu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 35th minute. Mateo Santana tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Fabian Zăreanu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Leonides Shepherd to strike the kick off in the second half. Mateo Santana stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Leonides Shepherd's shot from short distance in the 55th minute. 57 minutes into the match, Duendes Verdes's goal looked a bit too open when Fabian Zăreanu came free, but Mateo Santana reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Fabian Zăreanu in the 57th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Mateo Santana prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 58 minutes of play, Betbeder FC's Leonides Shepherd made it 4-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Mateo Santana was left in no man's land by his defense there! 64 minutes into the match, Duendes Verdes's goal looked a bit too open when Fabian Zăreanu came free, but Mateo Santana reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Mateo Santana took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fabian Zăreanu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some careless play in the Duendes Verdes defense, Fabian Zăreanu kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Mateo Santana. The Duendes Verdes fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Mateo Santana should have stopped the shot. After 70 minutes, Leonides Shepherd made it 6-0 with a short kick to the right side. Duendes Verdes's Mateo Santana tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. 72 minutes into the match, Betbeder FC's Leonides Shepherd sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Mateo Santana narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Mateo Santana didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Fabian Zăreanu went, in the 73rd minute, to the upper right corner, 7-0 was the resulting score. 78 minutes into the match, Fabian Zăreanu notched a goal, 8-0, to the right of Duendes Verdes's Mateo Santana. Mateo Santana was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Leonides Shepherd fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mateo Santana having to interfere. When the match had gone on for 82 minutes, Leonides Shepherd put it in 9-0 from a short distance just to the right of Mateo Santana. When the match clock showed 90 minutes, the score became 10-0 when Leonides Shepherd sped through Duendes Verdes's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Mateo Santana. After 97 minutes, Gilberto Bartoli mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Duendes Verdes and the Betbeder FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Betbeder FC booed when Duendes Verdes was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 97 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gilberto Bartoli didn't get a good kick on the ball. When the referee ended the match the Betbeder FC players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
