In the 21st minute, Thomás Barral reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Julio Falcioni. The goal made the score 1-1. Julio Falcioni was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After 61 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Cardo Ruso Cordobés! Julio Falcioni went to the wrong direction when Thomás Barral was taking care of the penalty kick which however missed the goal. Cardo Ruso Cordobés's Bennvar Back was substituted for Franky Dhondt. Cardo Ruso Cordobés's Julio Falcioni played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Thomás Barral in the 67th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Thomás Barral in the 69th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Julio Falcioni saved Cardo Ruso Cordobés from getting behind. 71 minutes into the match, Rejunte de perros's goalkeeper Marcelo Armani had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Jorge Panpili. After a defensive mix-up in Cardo Ruso Cordobés's zone, Thomás Barral stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Julio Falcioni came out of the goal and Thomás Barral tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Rejunte de perros made a substitution. Gabriel Osorio replaced Remigio James. Bennvar Back recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 84th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 88th minute, Rogelio Funes Mori ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Julio Falcioni was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-1. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Rejunte de perros fans cheered their team off the field, for while Cardo Ruso Cordobés had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
