Celedonio Eguen came out of the goal in the 7th minute to try and stop a shot by Granate's Jaakko Ramstadius. But to his dismay, Jaakko Ramstadius quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. After a rather tough play, Matheu City FC's Minas Makris got a free kick in the 11th minute. 13 minutes into the match, Granate's goalkeeper Donato Lorenz had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Vicente Marin. 16 minutes into the match, Matheu City FC's goal looked a bit too open when Christos Triantafyllou came free, but Celedonio Eguen reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Jaakko Ramstadius fell near the penalty area in the 16th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Granate's protests and gave Jaakko Ramstadius a yellow card for diving instead. After 16 played minutes Granate got a freekick which was hit by Jaakko Ramstadius. Donato Lorenz made a fantastic save in the 21st minute, when Mariano Egoitz sent off a good shot on target. Celedonio Eguen showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Miguel Macario, who was totally free with the ball in the 24th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Christos Triantafyllou in the 26th minute of play forced Matheu City FC's goalkeeper Celedonio Eguen to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Donato Lorenz made an important save on a dangerous shot by Vicente Marin in the 27th minute. Celedonio Eguen made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Christos Triantafyllou in the 30th minute of play. After 45 played minutes, Granate's Usko Ruuttu shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Celedonio Eguen came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Granate reached it. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Robinho Salgado was the one to do the kick off. Osvaldo Euloxu could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 52nd minute of the match, but Celedonio Eguen made a huge save. But to his dismay, Robinho Salgado quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. Donato Lorenz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Vicente Marin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 67 minutes into the match, Minas Makris notched a goal, 3-1, to the right of Granate's Donato Lorenz. Donato Lorenz was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Matheu City FC made a substitution. Sixto Mon replaced Anier Manny. Donato Lorenz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Vicente Marin in the 73rd minute of the match. Minas Makris scored 5-1 in the 86th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Donato Lorenz, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Celedonio Eguen made a fantastic save in the 96th minute, when Osvaldo Euloxu sent off a good shot on target. Matheu City FC's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
