After a defensive mix-up in Globo Juniors's zone, Vicente Panfilo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. João Francisco Lucas came out of the goal and Vicente Panfilo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 10th minute, Cayetano Luix hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Geronimo Pabla kicked well hit freekick during the 11th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Globo Juniors's Cayetano Velasco got a free kick in the 14th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Pablo Acosta in the 22nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Dadá Martinez saved Los once leones from getting behind. 30 minutes into the game, Arnaldo Suero cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-3. Dadá Martinez was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After a rather tough play, Globo Juniors's Casimiro Porfiro got a free kick in the 33rd minute. If Izydor Klawke had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Arnaldo Suero made a kick off. After a rather tough play, Globo Juniors's Cayetano Velasco got a free kick in the 50th minute. 54 minutes into the match, Globo Juniors's goal looked a bit too open when Cleto Txerran came free, but João Francisco Lucas reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 56th minute, Globo Juniors's Nicasio Pelayo seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Nicasio Pelayo the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Globo Juniors protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Nicasio Pelayo had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. When Cleto Txerran came up free with the goalie in the 58th minute, the Los once leones fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cleto Txerran couldn't finish the play. A sloppy throw-in by Vicente Panfilo in the 64th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Globo Juniors's Arnaldo Suero. If Casimiro Porfiro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 68 minutes into the match, Los once leones's goalkeeper Dadá Martinez had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Casimiro Porfiro. Los once leones's Dadá Martinez proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 70th minute of the match, managed to save Los once leones from getting a goal against them. The corner led Globo Juniors's Arnaldo Suero to fire away a dangerous shot which Dadá Martinez despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. 75 minutes into the game, Leopoldo Ibar threw the ball into play from the sideline. Globo Juniors's Raimundo Estebe quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. If Casimiro Porfiro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. Pablo Acosta received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 87th minute. Dadá Martinez tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Globo Juniors's João Francisco Lucas played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cleto Txerran in the 89th minute of play. Casimiro Porfiro showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-4. Globo Juniors's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
