Spectators: 145 (Terracing: 110, Seating: 33, VIP seats: 2) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Romeo Mel took the kick off in the first half of the match. In the 4thth minute of the game Paolo Rossi who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but SOUTH AFRICA's Romeo Dominic was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 5th match minute, La Gallardeta was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Konstanty Figlewski to maneuver through the defense. Horacio Bihar kicked well hit freekick during the 9th minute of the match. Paolo Rossi's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Romeo Dominic firmly grabbed it by the left post. Paolo Rossi scored 1-0 in the 17th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Romeo Dominic, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. With a little luck, SOUTH AFRICA's Romeo Dominic got control of the ball when Paolo Rossi tried to sneak it across the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Rafael Haimar in the 25th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Romeo Dominic saved SOUTH AFRICA from getting behind. Rafael Haimar let the left foot speak when in front of goal in the 25th minute shot 2-0 at rihgt post. Nacho Gonzalez showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Isaac Terris, who was totally free with the ball in the 29th minute. 31 minutes into the match, La Gallardeta's goal looked a bit too open when Artemio Jokin came free, but Nacho Gonzalez reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 38th minute La Gallardeta were awarded a corner. Paolo Rossi went to the cornerflag to take it. Fabricio Milian was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. 40 minutes into the match, SOUTH AFRICA's goal looked a bit too open when Paolo Rossi came free, but Romeo Dominic reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 42 played minutes La Gallardeta got a freekick which was hit by Attilio Stefano. An unexpectedly hard shot by Artemio Jokin in the 43rd minute of play forced La Gallardeta's goalkeeper Nacho Gonzalez to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Teodoro Delfino kicked well hit freekick during the 45th minute of the match. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Paolo Rossi made the kick off in the second half. Romeo Dominic stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Paolo Rossi's shot from short distance in the 53rd minute. In the 54th match minute, La Gallardeta was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Horacio Bihar to maneuver through the defense. In the 55th minute, Romeo Mel reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Nacho Gonzalez. The goal made the score 2-1. Romeo Mel who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 59thth minute tested the skills of Nacho Gonzalez when he managed to save the team from getting behind. The supporters of La Gallardeta booed when SOUTH AFRICA was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 64 match minutes in a wonderful position. Isaac Terris didn't get a good kick on the ball. Paolo Rossi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 66th minute. Romeo Dominic tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. La Gallardeta's Esteban Leizarraga was substituted for Teodoro Delfino. 70 minutes had been played when some careless play by SOUTH AFRICA's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Rafael Haimar was slow to take the kick. During this time La Gallardeta's players had a chance to rest. A nice corner shot did that Fabricio Milian got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Romeo Dominic quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. 72 minutes into the game, Amado Chayo was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. La Gallardeta's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave SOUTH AFRICA the free kick. After 72 played minutes La Gallardeta got a freekick which was hit by Amado Chayo. In the 73rd minute, Amado Chayo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The attack was good, but when Elvio Ted in the 75th minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. 81 minutes into the match, SOUTH AFRICA's goal looked a bit too open when Amado Chayo came free, but Romeo Dominic reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Romeo Dominic made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fernando Dantae in the 83rd minute of play. Nacho Gonzalez took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Artemio Jokin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. La Gallardeta's Nacho Gonzalez proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 85th minute of the match, managed to save La Gallardeta from getting a goal against them. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fernando Dantae in the 88th minute of play forced SOUTH AFRICA's goalkeeper Romeo Dominic to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of La Gallardeta booed when SOUTH AFRICA was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 93 match minutes in a wonderful position. Oscar Ruggieri didn't get a good kick on the ball. SOUTH AFRICA's Romeo Dominic played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fernando Dantae in the 94th minute of play. For all the effort they put into the match, the SOUTH AFRICA players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for La Gallardeta.
