The audience was convinced that Romeo Mel's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Gregorio Lehior was relentless in the 7th minute of the game. After a defensive mix-up in Tacheros de Buenos Aires's zone, Romeo Mel stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gregorio Lehior came out of the goal and Romeo Mel tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. With a little luck, SOUTH AFRICA's Romeo Dominic got control of the ball when Mattin Solbeida tried to sneak it across the goal line. After a rather tough play, SOUTH AFRICA's Wellington de Andrade got a free kick in the 15th minute. A hard shot by Ali Haydar Tolgunay from long distance, 15 minutes into the match, got Romeo Dominic's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. SOUTH AFRICA's Romeo Dominic played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mattin Solbeida in the 17th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mattin Solbeida in the 20th minute of play forced SOUTH AFRICA's goalkeeper Romeo Dominic to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With 22 minutes on the clock, Oscar Ruggieri commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. The referee gave Tacheros de Buenos Aires a penalty, 23 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Ali Haydar Tolgunay, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of SOUTH AFRICA's Romeo Dominic. 1-0. 27 minutes had been played when some careless play by Tacheros de Buenos Aires's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Artemio Jokin was slow to take the kick. During this time SOUTH AFRICA's players had a chance to rest. After taking down the ball on SOUTH AFRICA's corner Artemio Jokin fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Gregorio Lehior quite easily take care of the ball. Gregorio Lehior showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Artemio Jokin, who was totally free with the ball in the 32nd minute. The attack was good, but when Artemio Jokin in the 36th minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Artemio Jokin in the 38th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Gregorio Lehior prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 39 minutes had been played when some careless play by Tacheros de Buenos Aires's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Artemio Jokin was slow to take the kick. During this time SOUTH AFRICA's players had a chance to rest. The corner led SOUTH AFRICA's Artemio Jokin to fire away a dangerous shot which Gregorio Lehior despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. When SOUTH AFRICA's Artemio Jokin in the 41st minute got a chance for a shot 41st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Tacheros de Buenos Aires's goalie prevented a goal. Artemio Jokin had several of the Tacheros de Buenos Aires's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 51 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 1-1 score and a disappointed Gregorio Lehior as he didn't even see the shot coming. Gregorio Lehior made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Artemio Jokin in the 55th minute of play. 56 minutes into the match, SOUTH AFRICA's goal looked a bit too open when Vilius Gudavičius came free, but Romeo Dominic reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Elvio Ted had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Romeo Dominic made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mattin Solbeida in the 60th minute of play. Cavit Sanay's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Gregorio Lehior firmly grabbed it by the left post. Tacheros de Buenos Aires's Gregorio Lehior played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Artemio Jokin in the 64th minute of play. 66 minutes into the match, Tacheros de Buenos Aires's goalkeeper Gregorio Lehior had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Artemio Jokin. The supporters of SOUTH AFRICA booed when Tacheros de Buenos Aires was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 68 match minutes in a wonderful position. Adolfo Blanco didn't get a good kick on the ball. The penalty shot was made by Ali Haydar Tolgunay, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of SOUTH AFRICA's Romeo Dominic. 2-1. 84 minutes into the match, SOUTH AFRICA's Elvio Ted sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Gregorio Lehior narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 86th match minute, SOUTH AFRICA was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Artemio Jokin to maneuver through the defense. Gualterio Acevedo struck a weak shot in the 89th minute. Gregorio Lehior didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for SOUTH AFRICA. In the 90th match minute, SOUTH AFRICA was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Wellington de Andrade to maneuver through the defense. Mattin Solbeida took the ball and in the 94 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Romeo Dominic. Romeo Dominic dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-2.
