Erling Haaland might have been able to make a better finish in the 37th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Alberto Lucian. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Ahmet Gündüz Özkar scored 0-2 in the 37th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Alberto Lucian, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 41 minutes into the match, Candido Frances had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Alberto Lucian. Tapebicuá's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Candido Frances was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-3. The audience thought a goal was coming when Virgilio Loi got free with Abelardo Giro in the 45th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 47th minute, Celso Cai hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-3 lead.

Remigio Berart kicked well hit freekick during the 51st minute of the match. Abelardo Giro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cristian Dolberg, who was totally free with the ball in the 53rd minute. 55 minutes into the match, Tapebicuá's goal looked a bit too open when Candido Frances came free, but Alberto Lucian reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Tapebicuá's supporters crossed their fingers, but Cristian Dolberg was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 67th minute Cristian Dolberg shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Abelardo Giro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Alberto Lucian stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ahmet Gündüz Özkar's shot from short distance in the 91st minute. If Erling Haaland had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
