LA DEL MONO's Fabio Betadur played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dário Prada in the 8th minute of play. Fabio Betadur stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Dário Prada's shot from short distance in the 8th minute. In the 12th minute the ball was on its way in behind LA DEL MONO's goalkeeper Fabio Betadur, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 17 minutes into the match, Dário Prada dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Fabio Betadur, 2-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Honorato Chap in the 22nd minute of play forced Los Hornos's goalkeeper Silas de Andrade to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Los Hornos's Gene Simmons got a free kick in the 23rd minute. Dário Prada recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 30th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Fabio Betadur took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dário Prada, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 37 minutes had been played when some careless play by LA DEL MONO's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Justino Amato was slow to take the kick. During this time Los Hornos's players had a chance to rest. The corner led Los Hornos's Gene Simmons to fire away a dangerous shot which Fabio Betadur despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Dário Prada did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 3-0 to the left of a surprised Fabio Betadur 38 minutes into the match. 41 minutes into the game, Dário Prada cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 4-0. Fabio Betadur was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Armando Rafel kicked well hit freekick during the 47th minute of the match.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Dário Prada to make the kick off. After having played for 72 minutes, Cosme Oalo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. LA DEL MONO's supporters crossed their fingers, but Cosme Oalo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Cosme Oalo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Dário Prada fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fabio Betadur having to interfere. Fabio Betadur took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Oodo Rosin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Los Hornos's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
