Iker Maria didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Dário Prada went, in the 9th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dário Prada in the 12th minute of play forced San Antonio FC's goalkeeper Iker Maria to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Roman Medina during the 13th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Los Hornos booed when San Antonio FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 13 match minutes in a wonderful position. Roman Medina didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 15thth minute of the game Dário Prada who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but San Antonio FC's Iker Maria was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After 18 minutes of play, Los Hornos's Dário Prada made it 0-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Iker Maria was left in no man's land by his defense there! San Antonio FC's Iker Maria played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lucas Staff in the 21st minute of play. In the 27th minute of the match Los Hornos got a corner. San Antonio FC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Justino Amato ran over to the corner to take the kick. Roman Medina made in the 30th minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Eloy Hunfredo however managed to control. Iker Maria showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dário Prada in the 32nd minute of the match. Roman Medina was shown his second yellow card after 36 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. Roman Medina hit a great freekick 36 minutes into the match. Dário Prada was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. Dário Prada received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. Iker Maria tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 43rd minute, Dário Prada ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Iker Maria was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-5. If Dário Prada had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Iker Maria took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dário Prada, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Eloy Hunfredo made a kick off. Dário Prada blasted a shot towards the goal in the 51st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Iker Maria having to make a save. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Dário Prada in the 54th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Iker Maria prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 58 minutes into the match, San Antonio FC's goal looked a bit too open when Gene Simmons came free, but Iker Maria reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 61st minute the ball was on its way in behind San Antonio FC's goalkeeper Iker Maria, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After some careless play in the San Antonio FC defense, Dário Prada kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Iker Maria. The San Antonio FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Iker Maria should have stopped the shot. Iker Maria took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dário Prada, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Dário Prada's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Iker Maria read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 74th minute of play. Iker Maria showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Oodo Rosin, who was totally free with the ball in the 75th minute. Los Hornos made a substitution. Luisito Txaran replaced Armando Rafel. 78 minutes had been played when some careless play by San Antonio FC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Justino Amato was slow to take the kick. During this time Los Hornos's players had a chance to rest. After 78 played minutes San Antonio FC got a freekick which was hit by Santiago Gaskon. Los Hornos's Dário Prada got a good chance for a goal in the 81st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 83rd minute Dário Prada shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Iker Maria saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 87 minutes into the match, San Antonio FC's goalkeeper Iker Maria had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Lucas Staff.
