The referee ignored The Cavern Club's protests and gave Valentin Oxarra a yellow card for diving instead. After 25 played minutes The Cavern Club got a freekick which was hit by Valentin Oxarra. Frank Krasniqi hit a great freekick 26 minutes into the match. Cornel Vulpe recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 27th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Yoel Liñan's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 29thth minute, Ubaldo Matildo Fillol skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Yoel Liñan did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 2-0 to the left of a surprised Ubaldo Matildo Fillol 29 minutes into the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Richard Nixon got free with Ubaldo Matildo Fillol in the 32nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Korn's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Cornel Vulpe in the 45th minute. The corner led A. Korn's Vladimir Bauman to fire away a dangerous shot which Barbaros Bozbey despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. When the match had gone on for 45 minutes, Vladimir Bauman put it in 3-1 from a short distance just to the right of Barbaros Bozbey. In the 48th match minute, The Cavern Club was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ramon Piarres to maneuver through the defense. Af the end of the first half the score was 3-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Geovani Mendonça was the one to do the kick off. The Cavern Club's Barbaros Bozbey proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 53rd minute of the match, managed to save The Cavern Club from getting a goal against them. After 53 played minutes A. Korn got a freekick which was hit by Jonatan Maidana. In the 54th minute of the match Fermin Arixo shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Ubaldo Matildo Fillol showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. After a rather tough play, The Cavern Club's Geovani Mendonça got a free kick in the 55th minute. Barbaros Bozbey showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Vladimir Bauman, who was totally free with the ball in the 59th minute. After a rather tough play, A. Korn's Nacho Fernández got a free kick in the 62nd minute. If Geovani Mendonça had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 63 minutes into the match, A. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 4-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. The supporters of The Cavern Club booed when A. Korn was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 82 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jonatan Maidana didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 83rd minute, Geovani Mendonça managed to get in a good position for a shot. The Cavern Club's supporters rose to their feet, but Geovani Mendonça was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ubaldo Matildo Fillol breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Through an outstanding action, after 85 minutes, Barbaros Bozbey successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Yoel Liñan's late challenge caught a A. Korn's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Yoel Liñan helped the player get up and apologised. Barbaros Bozbey made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Zbigniew Fedosz in the 89th minute of play. Richard Nixon received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 93rd minute. Ubaldo Matildo Fillol tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 98 minutes, Geovani Mendonça managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. The Cavern Club's supporters crossed their fingers, but Geovani Mendonça was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The Cavern Club's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
