After a rather tough play, The Cavern Club's Ludomir Banaszak got a free kick in the 7th minute. Gastres FC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Jorge Quiroga in the 9th minute. After taking down the ball on Gastres FC's corner Göran Nyström fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Barbaros Bozbey quite easily take care of the ball. 12 minutes into the match, The Cavern Club's goal looked a bit too open when Calistrat Geangu came free, but Barbaros Bozbey reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Pedro Pelayo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Richard Nixon in the 14th minute of the match. 17 minutes into the match, Gastres FC's goal looked a bit too open when Richard Nixon came free, but Pedro Pelayo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The Cavern Club's Barbaros Bozbey proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 24th minute of the match, managed to save The Cavern Club from getting a goal against them. In the 26th minute of the match Gastres FC got a corner. The Cavern Club's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Jorge Quiroga ran over to the corner to take the kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Richard Nixon in the 30th minute of play forced Gastres FC's goalkeeper Pedro Pelayo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Pedro Pelayo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Richard Nixon, who was totally free with the ball in the 33rd minute. The Cavern Club's Barbaros Bozbey played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Conrado Ramond in the 35th minute of play. After 40 minutes of play, The Cavern Club's Richard Nixon made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Pedro Pelayo was left in no man's land by his defense there! Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Richard Nixon in the 45th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Pedro Pelayo prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 46th match minute, The Cavern Club was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gonzalo Vergaray to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Conrado Ramond in the 47th minute of play forced The Cavern Club's goalkeeper Barbaros Bozbey to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Geovani Mendonça made a kick off. Barbaros Bozbey took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Teobaldo Belmiro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Geovani Mendonça in the 62nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Pedro Pelayo saved Gastres FC from getting behind. In the 63rd minute Calistrat Geangu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Barbaros Bozbey saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 65th minute, Geovani Mendonça left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The The Cavern Club fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-2. A throw-in in the 68th minute of the game was made by Ramon Piarres with Geovani Mendonça as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. 72 minutes into the match, Conrado Ramond had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Barbaros Bozbey. The Cavern Club's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Conrado Ramond was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-2. In the 80th minute Benjamin Neto shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Barbaros Bozbey saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 81st play minutes Teobaldo Belmiro shot 3-2, a short shot which went by Barbaros Bozbey and just under the crossbar into goal. Barbaros Bozbey made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Teobaldo Belmiro in the 84th minute of play. Barbaros Bozbey took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Calistrat Geangu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 85th minute, Teobaldo Belmiro left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Gastres FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 4-2. Barbaros Bozbey made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Teobaldo Belmiro in the 90th minute of play. With a little luck, Gastres FC's Pedro Pelayo got control of the ball when Geovani Mendonça tried to sneak it across the goal line. Geovani Mendonça took the ball and in the 95 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Pedro Pelayo. Pedro Pelayo dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-3. Gastres FC's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
