The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 3rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Rocky Balboa Team's goalkeeper Sebastian Muno, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 4th minute of the match Corsarios del Sur got a corner. Rocky Balboa Team's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Eliseo Selmo ran over to the corner to take the kick. Rocky Balboa Team's defense didn't have a chance, in the 9th minute, when Rodrigo Cidro scored to the left of an out of position Sebastian Muno, making the score, 1-0. Sebastian Muno made an important save on a dangerous shot by Rodrigo Cidro in the 12th minute. Rodrigo Cidro had several of the Rocky Balboa Team's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 17 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 2-0 score and a disappointed Sebastian Muno as he didn't even see the shot coming. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rodrigo Cidro in the 21st minute of play forced Rocky Balboa Team's goalkeeper Sebastian Muno to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Walmir Loureiro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Américo Azenha, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 24 minutes into the game, Corsarios del Sur's Rodrigo Cidro nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Sebastian Muno made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-0. 34 minutes into the match, Corsarios del Sur's goal looked a bit too open when Jorge Mero came free, but Walmir Loureiro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Sebastian Muno was out of position in the 35 minute of play, and Rodrigo Cidro capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Rodrigo Cidro really showed his touch with that goal: 4-0. 46 minutes into the match, Rocky Balboa Team's goalkeeper Sebastian Muno had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Rodrigo Cidro. Af the end of the first half the score was 4-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Corsarios del Sur's Teo Luzaide was substituted for Domingos Frisco. The wind increased when Rodrigo Cidro made the kick off in the second half. 55 minutes into the match, Rodrigo Cidro notched a goal, 5-0, to the right of Rocky Balboa Team's Sebastian Muno. Sebastian Muno was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Rodrigo Cidro struck a weak shot in the 61st minute. Sebastian Muno didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Corsarios del Sur. Corsarios del Sur's Rodrigo Cidro got a good chance for a goal in the 63rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Sebastian Muno took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rodrigo Cidro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some careless play in the Rocky Balboa Team defense, Rodrigo Cidro kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Sebastian Muno. The Rocky Balboa Team fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Sebastian Muno should have stopped the shot. Sebastian Muno made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rodrigo Cidro in the 73rd minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 76th minute, Rodrigo Cidro managed to get in a good position for a shot. Corsarios del Sur's supporters rose to their feet, but Rodrigo Cidro was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Sebastian Muno breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Rocky Balboa Team's Sebastian Muno played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rodrigo Cidro in the 77th minute of play.
