The supporters of Gnesta Oilers booed when Paranhos Ariranha FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 17 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hamílton Barros didn't get a good kick on the ball. 0-2 became the score in the 22nd minute when Jonas Smitt elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Hamílton Barros hit a great freekick 25 minutes into the match. Jack Bergman received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 29th minute. Lúcio Mota tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Gnesta Oilers's Gösta Bergqvist proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 32nd minute of the match, managed to save Gnesta Oilers from getting a goal against them. Dráuzio Teixeira did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 1-2 to the left of a surprised Gösta Bergqvist 34 minutes into the match. Gösta Bergqvist stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Carlinhos Schmidt's shot from short distance in the 37th minute. When the match had gone on for 42 minutes, Dráuzio Teixeira put it in 3-2 from a short distance just to the right of Gösta Bergqvist. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-2.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Dráuzio Teixeira was the one to do the kick off. With a left leg Gösta Bergqvist saved Gnesta Oilers from getting behind. 68 minutes in the game, Jack Bergman fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Lúcio Mota having to interfere. In the 72nd minute of the match, Jonas Smitt got a very nice opportunity to score, but Lúcio Mota was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Carlinhos Schmidt sent away a hard shot on goal in the 74th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 77th minute Dráuzio Teixeira shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gösta Bergqvist saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 78th minute Tomas Henriksson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lúcio Mota saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Paranhos Ariranha FC booed when Gnesta Oilers was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 89 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tomas Henriksson didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience was convinced that Dráuzio Teixeira's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Gösta Bergqvist was relentless in the 96th minute of the game. Gnesta Oilers's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
