In a very dangerous position, a player in Santos de Buenos Aires FC fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 16th minute. Penalty! Diego Melendez had in the 17thth minute some difficulties stopping Vennancio Cagide's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. 17 minutes into the game, West Town SC's Vennancio Cagide nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Diego Melendez made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. In the 19th minute, Marcus Costa ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Diego Melendez was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-3. An unexpectedly hard shot by Laureano Gimenez in the 22nd minute of play forced Santos de Buenos Aires FC's goalkeeper Diego Melendez to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Diego Melendez showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Buck Blue in the 25th minute of the match. Santos de Buenos Aires FC's Diego Melendez played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marcus Costa in the 26th minute of play. The supporters of West Town SC booed when Santos de Buenos Aires FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 27 match minutes in a wonderful position. Roque Mercury didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Lázaro Suárez came up free with the goalie in the 44th minute, the Santos de Buenos Aires FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Lázaro Suárez couldn't finish the play. Diego Melendez showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Marcus Costa in the 47th minute of the match. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-5.

After a rather tough play, Santos de Buenos Aires FC's Eulalio Chucho got a free kick in the 51st minute. A collision led to Santos de Buenos Aires FC getting a freekick after 55 minutes play. Eulalio Chucho hit a great ball. 57 minutes into the game, Marcus Costa recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Diego Melendez. Marcus Costa showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-6. Diego Melendez showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Buck Blue, who was totally free with the ball in the 61st minute. With a little luck, Santos de Buenos Aires FC's Diego Melendez got control of the ball when Marcus Costa tried to sneak it across the goal line. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Marcelo Rius showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. In the 74th minute, Marcus Costa left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The West Town SC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-8. The audience thought a goal was coming when Buck Blue got free with Diego Melendez in the 77th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 78 minutes into the match, Santos de Buenos Aires FC's goal looked a bit too open when Roberto Caamaño came free, but Diego Melendez reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the match had gone on for 80 minutes, Buck Blue took a quick shot and it went in 0-9 without a chance for Diego Melendez to make any attempt to save it. Diego Melendez came out of the goal in the 87th minute to try and stop a shot by West Town SC's Buck Blue. But to his dismay, Buck Blue quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-10.
