Zbigniew Kalinowski came out of the goal in the 20th minute to try and stop a shot by Santos de Buenos Aires FC's Viktor Lalkovič. But to his dismay, Viktor Lalkovič quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. Newcastle United's Zbigniew Kalinowski played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Primo Isidor in the 23rd minute of play. Wlodzimierz Sokolski hit a great freekick 24 minutes into the match. In the 25th minute Przemyslaw Bulkiewicz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Diego Melendez saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Newcastle United booed when Santos de Buenos Aires FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 34 match minutes in a wonderful position. Primo Isidor didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 39 minutes of play, Newcastle United's Wlodzimierz Sokolski made it 2-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Diego Melendez was left in no man's land by his defense there! The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-1.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Przemyslaw Bulkiewicz to make the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Wlodzimierz Sokolski in the 51st minute of play forced Santos de Buenos Aires FC's goalkeeper Diego Melendez to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Primo Isidor received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 52nd minute. Zbigniew Kalinowski tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Santos de Buenos Aires FC's Diego Melendez played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Barnaba Borcz in the 59th minute of play. Santos de Buenos Aires FC's Godofredo Rioja was substituted for Lázaro Suárez. Diego Melendez didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Barnaba Borcz went, in the 68th minute, to the upper right corner, 4-1 was the resulting score. Diego Melendez came out of the goal in the 71st minute to try and stop a shot by Newcastle United's Barnaba Borcz. But to his dismay, Barnaba Borcz quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 5-1. In the 74th minute Arkadiusz Rojewski shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Diego Melendez saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 80 minutes into the game, Wlodzimierz Sokolski cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 6-1. Diego Melendez was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 84 minutes into the match, Przemyslaw Bulkiewicz notched a goal, 7-1, to the right of Santos de Buenos Aires FC's Diego Melendez. Diego Melendez was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hieronim Rasimowicz in the 92nd minute of play forced Santos de Buenos Aires FC's goalkeeper Diego Melendez to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the match had gone on for 94 minutes, Godofredo Rioja put it in 8-2 from a short distance just to the right of Zbigniew Kalinowski. When the referee ended the match the Newcastle United players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
