The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. West Town SC's Marcelo Rius played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Edgar Șeicaru in the 7th minute of play. The audience was convinced that Marcus Costa's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ekhemos Kezdoglou was relentless in the 9th minute of the game. In the 10th minute, Radamel Blue hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Nicu Vornicu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Nicu Vornicu hit a great freekick 21 minutes into the match. A collision led to FC Acatar getting a freekick after 22 minutes play. Edgar Șeicaru hit a great ball. With an all-out effort, West Town SC's Ekhemos Kezdoglou threw himself towards the right post 24 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Laureano Gimenez, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. In the 29thth minute of the game Laureano Gimenez who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but FC Acatar's Ekhemos Kezdoglou was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Marcelo Rius showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nicu Vornicu, who was totally free with the ball in the 31st minute. In the 41st minute Nicu Vornicu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marcelo Rius saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Marcelo Rius took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Edgar Șeicaru, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to West Town SC getting a freekick after 47 minutes play. Buck Blue hit a great ball.

The wind increased when Laureano Gimenez made the kick off in the second half. Marcelo Rius showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Edgar Șeicaru in the 60th minute of the match. 62 minutes into the match, FC Acatar's goal looked a bit too open when Javier Mazule came free, but Ekhemos Kezdoglou reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Juan Manuel Macias in the 66th minute of play forced FC Acatar's goalkeeper Ekhemos Kezdoglou to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. FC Acatar's attentive Stefanos Ntinopoulos managed to snatch the ball when Juan Manuel Macias made a throw-in in the 70th minute of the game. After a defensive mix-up in West Town SC's zone, Nicu Vornicu stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Marcelo Rius came out of the goal and Nicu Vornicu tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The supporters of FC Acatar booed when West Town SC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 94 match minutes in a wonderful position. Roberto Caamaño didn't get a good kick on the ball.
