Luís Fábio Bittencourt didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Hélder Trigo went, in the 13th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-0 was the resulting score. 18 minutes into the game, Miguel Mendes recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Luís Fábio Bittencourt. Miguel Mendes showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 3-0. 24 minutes into the match, E.C. RIO DE JANEIRO's Luís Fábio Bittencourt proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 36th minute of the match, managed to save E.C. RIO DE JANEIRO from getting a goal against them. After 37 minutes of play, Vascogoianiense FC's Miguel Mendes made it 5-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Luís Fábio Bittencourt was left in no man's land by his defense there! The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Hélder Trigo stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 52 minutes into the match, E.C. RIO DE JANEIRO's attentive Caio da Silveira managed to snatch the ball when Márcio Medeiros made a throw-in in the 90th minute of the game. Dinei Silveira received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 93rd minute. Luís Fábio Bittencourt tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Luís Fábio Bittencourt showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Miguel Mendes, who was totally free with the ball in the 95th minute.
