In the 11th minute Vicente Ramos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Angelo Tande saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Rodriguinho Vasconcelos showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mané Tavares in the 18th minute of the match. In the 21st minute, Luiz Gustavo Bittencourt hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A collision led to REAL VASCO RIO getting a freekick after 29 minutes play. Sydney Mazza hit a great ball. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Rogério do Nascimento stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Natã Hermes hit a great freekick 58 minutes into the match. With a little luck, REAL VASCO RIO's Angelo Tande got control of the ball when Vicente Ramos tried to sneak it across the goal line. Mané Tavares received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 65th minute. Rodriguinho Vasconcelos tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 66 minutes into the game, Flávio de Queiroz was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. REAL VASCO RIO's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Ricart Futebol Clube the free kick. Angelo Tande showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rogério do Nascimento, who was totally free with the ball in the 68th minute. After a rather tough play, REAL VASCO RIO's Sidnei Matorin got a free kick in the 79th minute. Délio Mineiro blasted a shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Angelo Tande having to make a save. Ricart Futebol Clube's Fred Passos got a good chance for a goal in the 89th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 91st minute, Délio Mineiro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 92nd minute of the match Régis Mota sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Rodriguinho Vasconcelos skillfully saved the ball.
