The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Jardel Abraão was the one to do the kick off. Zé Augusto Peixoto made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luan Batista in the 55th minute of play. Saidi Costa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hélder Trigo in the 57th minute of play. Ulisses Alves hit a great freekick 58 minutes into the match. Ulisses Alves made in the 60th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Vascogoianiense FC's Raúl de Andrade. The audience was convinced that Jardel Abraão's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Zé Augusto Peixoto was relentless in the 62nd minute of the game. The supporters of Vascogoianiense FC booed when ♙Fluminense Campéon 23♙ was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 66 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jardel Abraão didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Luan Batista had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
