The supporters of Merusca F&P booed when ♙Fluminense Campéon 23♙ was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 27 match minutes in a wonderful position. Duda Marinho didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 28 played minutes ♙Fluminense Campéon 23♙ got a freekick which was hit by Décio Maia. Claudinho Bezerra who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 30thth minute tested the skills of Saidi Costa when he managed to save the team from getting behind. If Nico Neves had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 34 minutes into the game, Nico Neves cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Saidi Costa was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Saidi Costa made a fantastic save in the 40th minute, when Claudinho Bezerra sent off a good shot on target. Christiano de Azevedo kicked well hit freekick during the 44th minute of the match. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Flavinho Vinhas made the kick off in the second half. Ulisses Alves received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 55th minute. Agnaldo Tinoco tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to ♙Fluminense Campéon 23♙ getting a freekick after 56 minutes play. Paulinho Souto hit a great ball. Adelino Costa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 57th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 58 minutes, Flavinho Vinhas mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the ♙Fluminense Campéon 23♙ and the Merusca F&P players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, ♙Fluminense Campéon 23♙'s Flavinho Vinhas got a free kick in the 58th minute. Merusca F&P made a substitution. Ian Salles replaced Nico Neves. Paulinho Souto received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 63rd minute. Agnaldo Tinoco tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 68th minute of the match ♙Fluminense Campéon 23♙ got a corner. Merusca F&P's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Ademir Soares ran over to the corner to take the kick. ♙Fluminense Campéon 23♙'s Ademir Soares was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Agnaldo Tinoco in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. 71 minutes into the match, Merusca F&P's goal looked a bit too open when Jardel Abraão came free, but Agnaldo Tinoco reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the referee blew the final whistle, Merusca F&P could leave the field as winners, despite ♙Fluminense Campéon 23♙ having more of the ball for most of the match.
