Igor de Amorim received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 9th minute. Luís Fábio Bittencourt tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Igor de Amorim in the 11th minute of play forced PORTUGUESA-RJ's goalkeeper Luís Fábio Bittencourt to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Igor de Amorim got free with Luís Fábio Bittencourt in the 19th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When Zeca Peres fell near the penalty area in the 20th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. After some careless play in the PORTUGUESA-RJ defense, Cesinha Medeiros kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Luís Fábio Bittencourt. In the 74th match minute, PORTUGUESA-RJ was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rafael Ramos to maneuver through the defense. The Estrela Solitária fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 8-0. After a defensive mix-up in PORTUGUESA-RJ's zone, Cesinha Medeiros stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Luís Fábio Bittencourt came out of the goal and Cesinha Medeiros tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 95 minutes into the match, Igor de Amorim notched a goal, 9-0, to the right of PORTUGUESA-RJ's Luís Fábio Bittencourt. Luís Fábio Bittencourt was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it.
