Júlio Catarinense made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Renatinho Catarinense in the 3rd minute of play. After a rather tough play, REAL VASCO RIO's Sydney Mazza got a free kick in the 4th minute. Vágner Sarmento blasted a shot towards the goal in the 6th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Júlio Catarinense having to make a save. Júlio Catarinense made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Renatinho Catarinense in the 9th minute of play. Horácio Damião struck a weak shot in the 10th minute. Dráusio das Neves didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for REAL VASCO RIO. Isaltino Mesquita hit a great freekick 14 minutes into the match. With a little luck, REAL VASCO RIO's Júlio Catarinense got control of the ball when Carlos Trancoso tried to sneak it across the goal line. Thanks to some nice moves Carlos Trancoso could shoot a difficult shot in the 20th minute, which Júlio Catarinense however easily saved by the left post. After a rather tough play, REAL VASCO RIO's Caco de Souza got a free kick in the 21st minute. After 23 played minutes REAL VASCO RIO got a freekick which was hit by Luciano Leão. After 24 played minutes, Batalhão do Peçanha's Vágner Sarmento shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Júlio Catarinense came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Batalhão do Peçanha reached it. In the 26th minute, Batalhão do Peçanha's Vágner Sarmento ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Júlio Catarinense. Júlio Catarinense yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-1. Júlio Catarinense was out of position in the 32 minute of play, and Vágner Sarmento capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Vágner Sarmento really showed his touch with that goal: 2-1. Júlio Catarinense showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Vágner Sarmento in the 35th minute of the match. REAL VASCO RIO's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Renatinho Catarinense 36 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 3-1. The crowd rose to their feet as Isaltino Mesquita kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Júlio Catarinense. That made the score 4-1 in the 40 minute of play. Júlio Catarinense took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Renatinho Catarinense, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 47th minute, Batalhão do Peçanha's Renatinho Catarinense ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Júlio Catarinense. Júlio Catarinense yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 5-1. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 5-1.

After a defensive mix-up in Batalhão do Peçanha's zone, Fred Marinho stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Dráusio das Neves came out of the goal and Fred Marinho tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Carlos Trancoso fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Júlio Catarinense having to interfere. After 60 minutes of play, Batalhão do Peçanha's Renatinho Catarinense made it 6-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Júlio Catarinense was left in no man's land by his defense there! 64 minutes into the game, Batalhão do Peçanha's Renatinho Catarinense nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Júlio Catarinense made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 7-1. Júlio Catarinense came out of the goal in the 67th minute to try and stop a shot by Batalhão do Peçanha's Renatinho Catarinense. But to his dismay, Renatinho Catarinense quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 8-1. After 70 minutes, Renatinho Catarinense made it 9-1 with a short kick to the right side. REAL VASCO RIO's Júlio Catarinense tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. REAL VASCO RIO's Júlio Catarinense played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Renatinho Catarinense in the 75th minute of play. After 83 minutes, Renatinho Catarinense made it 11-1 with a short kick to the right side. REAL VASCO RIO's Júlio Catarinense tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Batalhão do Peçanha's Vágner Sarmento got a good chance for a goal in the 86th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Renatinho Catarinense scored 12-1 in the 88th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Júlio Catarinense, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After 93 minutes of play, Batalhão do Peçanha's Renatinho Catarinense made it 13-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Júlio Catarinense was left in no man's land by his defense there! REAL VASCO RIO's Júlio Catarinense played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Vágner Sarmento in the 98th minute of play. When the referee ended the match the Batalhão do Peçanha players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
