Luís Fábio Bittencourt made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Silvinho Cordeiro in the 39th minute of play. Silvinho Cordeiro might have been able to make a better finish in the 41st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Luís Fábio Bittencourt. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Silvinho Cordeiro ran back to his position shaking his head. Silvinho Cordeiro recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 44th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 46th minute, Benê Dionísio managed to get in a good position for a shot. C.R. KRAKER 81's supporters rose to their feet, but Benê Dionísio was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Luís Fábio Bittencourt breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After the first half C.R. KRAKER 81 were leading 0-4. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The wind increased when Rafael Ramos made the kick off in the second half. When Silvinho Cordeiro came up free with the goalie in the 55th minute, the C.R. KRAKER 81 fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Silvinho Cordeiro couldn't finish the play. If José Paulo Amorim had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Caio da Silveira hit a great freekick 57 minutes into the match. Luís Fábio Bittencourt showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from José Paulo Amorim, who was totally free with the ball in the 59th minute. PORTUGUESA-RJ's Luís Fábio Bittencourt proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 60th minute of the match, managed to save PORTUGUESA-RJ from getting a goal against them. After a defensive mix-up in PORTUGUESA-RJ's zone, José Paulo Amorim stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Luís Fábio Bittencourt came out of the goal and José Paulo Amorim tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Hamílton Cerezo's late challenge caught a C.R. KRAKER 81's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Hamílton Cerezo helped the player get up and apologised. In a very dangerous position, a player in PORTUGUESA-RJ fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 68th minute. Penalty! After a rather tough play, PORTUGUESA-RJ's Nando Coutinho got a free kick in the 73rd minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 76th minute, Eliézer Marquez managed to get in a good position for a shot. C.R. KRAKER 81's supporters rose to their feet, but Eliézer Marquez was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. KRAKER 81 could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than PORTUGUESA-RJ throughout the match.
