In the 17th minute Edin Džeko shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cristinel Zdrobiş saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 35th minute Sergiu Golescu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but José Pedro de Godoi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Cristinel Zdrobiş made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Guilherme Peres in the 36th minute of play. Numan Tanuğur's late challenge caught a Nova Erechim - FSCMZ's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Numan Tanuğur helped the player get up and apologised. Numan Tanuğur hit a great freekick 45 minutes into the match. Scorpions -MM-'s Cristinel Zdrobiş played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Edin Džeko in the 48th minute of play. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

Scorpions -MM- made a substitution. Mihai Stoleru replaced Alexandru Zăvoiu. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Edin Džeko was the one to do the kick off. After 52 played minutes Nova Erechim - FSCMZ got a freekick which was hit by João Miranda. The supporters of Nova Erechim - FSCMZ booed when Scorpions -MM- was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 53 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mihai Stoleru didn't get a good kick on the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Edin Džeko in the 55th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Cristinel Zdrobiş prevented the ball from getting in the gole. With an all-out effort, Nova Erechim - FSCMZ's Cristinel Zdrobiş threw himself towards the right post 59 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Guilherme Peres, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. In the 62nd match minute, Scorpions -MM- was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Eugeniusz Mochowak to maneuver through the defense. In the 68th minute, Sergiu Golescu ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. José Pedro de Godoi was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-1. A collision led to Nova Erechim - FSCMZ getting a freekick after 70 minutes play. German Pezzella hit a great ball. Edin Džeko's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Cristinel Zdrobiş read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 72nd minute of play. 74 minutes had been played when some careless play by Scorpions -MM-'s defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Jérémy Doku was slow to take the kick. During this time Nova Erechim - FSCMZ's players had a chance to rest. Cristinel Zdrobiş made a fantastic save in the 76th minute, when Guilherme Peres sent off a good shot on target. The referee felt a red card was in order, 76 minutes into the game, when Mihai Stoleru put in a rough tackle. Cristinel Zdrobiş took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Edin Džeko, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Sergiu Golescu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 84th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Eugeniusz Mochowak hit a great freekick 90 minutes into the match. Scorpions -MM-'s Eric Cimpoieru was substituted for Teodor Nisporeanu. The supporters of Nova Erechim - FSCMZ booed when Scorpions -MM- was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 91 match minutes in a wonderful position. Eugeniusz Mochowak didn't get a good kick on the ball. Costel Ţintă's late challenge caught a Nova Erechim - FSCMZ's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Costel Ţintă helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Scorpions -MM-'s Costel Ţintă got a free kick in the 95th minute. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
