Mário Maradonas short, quick shot in the 3rdth minute got Romeo Gaxan to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. In the 6th minute, Mário Maradona ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Romeo Gaxan was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. In the 15th minute the ball was on its way in behind Guangzhou Dark Horse F.C's goalkeeper Romeo Gaxan, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Thommy Jadis showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Eliseo Vidales in the 21st minute of the match. In the 22nd minute, MINEIROS's Mário Maradona dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-0. Eliseo Vidales sent away a hard shot on goal in the 27th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Mário Maradona had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Guangzhou Dark Horse F.C's Romeo Gaxan proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 29th minute of the match, managed to save Guangzhou Dark Horse F.C from getting a goal against them. After having played for 30 minutes, Eliseo Vidales managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Guangzhou Dark Horse F.C's supporters crossed their fingers, but Eliseo Vidales was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When MINEIROS's Mário Maradona in the 32nd minute got a chance for a shot 32nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Guangzhou Dark Horse F.C's goalie prevented a goal. Thommy Jadis made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Andoitz Flores in the 33rd minute of play. In the 36th minute, MINEIROS's Mário Maradona ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Romeo Gaxan. Romeo Gaxan yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 3-0. After a rather tough play, MINEIROS's Miguel Paredes got a free kick in the 45th minute. Af the end of the first half the score was 3-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Eliseo Vidales was the one to do the kick off. In the 51st minute Mário Maradona shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Romeo Gaxan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Guangzhou Dark Horse F.C's zone, Mário Maradona stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Romeo Gaxan came out of the goal and Mário Maradona tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Mário Maradona might have been able to make a better finish in the 59th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Romeo Gaxan. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Mário Maradona ran back to his position shaking his head. If Mário Maradona had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Romeo Gaxan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mário Maradona, who was totally free with the ball in the 64th minute. In the 67th minute Mário Maradona shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Romeo Gaxan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 75 minutes into the match, MINEIROS's Mário Maradona sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Romeo Gaxan narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in Guangzhou Dark Horse F.C's zone, Miguel Paredes stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Romeo Gaxan came out of the goal and Miguel Paredes tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. MINEIROS made a substitution. Humberto Severo replaced Clóvis Rezende. MINEIROS made a substitution. Bon Čáp replaced Mário Maradona. Miguel Paredes might have been able to make a better finish in the 85th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Romeo Gaxan. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Miguel Paredes ran back to his position shaking his head. If Bon Čáp had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 86 minutes into the match, Guangzhou Dark Horse F.C's goal looked a bit too open when Bon Čáp came free, but Romeo Gaxan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Romeo Gaxan stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Bon Čáp's shot from short distance in the 92nd minute. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The MINEIROS fans cheered their team off the field, for while Guangzhou Dark Horse F.C had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
