With an extended leg and a bit of luck Manol Skarlatov prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The audience thought a goal was coming when Mário Maradona got free with Manol Skarlatov in the 29th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 31 minutes into the match, MINEIROS's goal looked a bit too open when Tibor Brandt came free, but Thommy Jadis reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Manol Skarlatov was out of position in the 37 minute of play, and Mário Maradona capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Mário Maradona really showed his touch with that goal: 1-1. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Mike Robert stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Hao Zhan Ping during the 51st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of ARAPONGAS booed when MINEIROS was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 51 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hao Zhan Ping didn't get a good kick on the ball. Niels Eglin hit a great freekick 52 minutes into the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Mário Maradona in the 62nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Manol Skarlatov prevented the ball from getting in the gole. A collision led to ARAPONGAS getting a freekick after 64 minutes play. Ken Aeberli hit a great ball. 65 minutes into the game, Miguel Paredes cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-1. Manol Skarlatov was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Manol Skarlatov took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bon Čáp, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 74 played minutes ARAPONGAS got a freekick which was hit by Ken Aeberli. In the 77th minute Bon Čáp shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Manol Skarlatov saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Manol Skarlatov stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Bon Čáp's shot from short distance in the 77th minute.
