In the 8th minute Yakut Vecihi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Yuri Quirino saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Régis Vides in the 20th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Lei Wei Lin prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 23rd minute, Perry Ackland made a precise shot to the right of Yuri Quirino. Al-Fajuth's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-0. A sloppy throw-in by Haroldo Gregory in the 29th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Al-Fajuth's Dorian do Vale. Al-Fajuth's Yuri Quirino played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Yakut Vecihi in the 34th minute of play. Yuri Quirino took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Perry Ackland, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 42nd minute Su Xing Jie shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Yuri Quirino saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Régis Vides fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lei Wei Lin having to interfere. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Yakut Vecihi was the one to do the kick off. Al-Fajuth's Yuri Quirino played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Denny Commons in the 50th minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Felipe Capixaba during the 56th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Felipe Capixaba hit a great freekick 56 minutes into the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Su Xing Jie in the 63rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Yuri Quirino saved Al-Fajuth from getting behind. 65 minutes into the match, Denny Commons notched a goal, 3-0, to the right of Al-Fajuth's Yuri Quirino. Yuri Quirino was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Yuri Quirino showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Perry Ackland, who was totally free with the ball in the 70th minute. Yakut Vecihi scored 4-0 in the 72nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Yuri Quirino, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 79 minutes into the match, Al-Fajuth's goal looked a bit too open when Denny Commons came free, but Yuri Quirino reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 81 minutes into the game, Perry Ackland cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 5-0. Yuri Quirino was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Al-Fajuth's Yuri Quirino played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Perry Ackland in the 84th minute of play. The supporters of Abbotsford FC booed when Al-Fajuth was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 85 match minutes in a wonderful position. Michel Alvarenga didn't get a good kick on the ball.
