Ezequiel Joey made an important save on a dangerous shot by Augusto Cordario in the 24th minute. 26 minutes into the match, Argentinos de Bien's Bai Yan Zhen sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Erwin Huygens narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Argentinos de Bien were awarded a corner in the 28th minute after Velez Sarsfield's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Igor Luzea took the corner. The audience thought a goal was coming when Augusto Cordario got free with Ezequiel Joey in the 37th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 41 minutes into the match, Augusto Cordario dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Ezequiel Joey, 1-1. In the 44th minute Justo Sal shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Erwin Huygens saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ago Tramp's late challenge caught a Argentinos de Bien's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ago Tramp helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Velez Sarsfield getting a freekick after 46 minutes play. Ago Tramp hit a great ball. Bai Yan Zhen sent away a hard shot on goal in the 48th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

53 minutes into the match, Igor Luzea sent off a long shot that looked like it was going straight into the goal, but because Erwin Huygens threw himself in his full length he managed to grip the ball by the left post, and there was no goal for Igor Luzea this time. Erwin Huygens made an important save on a dangerous shot by Bai Yan Zhen in the 61st minute. Ezequiel Joey made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Augusto Cordario in the 65th minute of play. Augusto Cordario's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ezequiel Joey read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 84th minute of play. The throw-in from Leandro Berti in the 89th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Argentinos de Bien's Igor Luzea. Timur Bauman kicked well hit freekick during the 90th minute of the match. Arnoldo Mel took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 91st minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Ezequiel Joey. Argentinos de Bien's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Ezequiel Joey made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Augusto Cordario in the 92nd minute of play. Erwin Huygens took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bai Yan Zhen, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Argentinos de Bien had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
