In the 9th minute Gerard Roulin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Edinho Lira saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Black Black received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 10th minute. Edinho Lira tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to INTER FC getting a freekick after 14 minutes play. Emerson Cruz hit a great ball. In the 19th match minute, INTER FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bruno Alves to maneuver through the defense. When Elmas Veloz came up free with the goalie in the 19th minute, the Don Malbec fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Elmas Veloz couldn't finish the play. After a rather tough play, Don Malbec's Black Black got a free kick in the 20th minute. In the 23rd minute Emerson Cruz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Aurelio Astudillo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Telo Saco came up free with the goalie in the 25th minute, the Don Malbec fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Telo Saco couldn't finish the play. After a rather tough play, INTER FC's Bebeto Lucas got a free kick in the 26th minute. 27 minutes into the match, Don Malbec's goal looked a bit too open when Frits Berendt came free, but Aurelio Astudillo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Edinho Lira showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gerard Roulin in the 31st minute of the match. In the 33rd minute, Telo Saco hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Frits Berendt's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 34thth minute, Aurelio Astudillo skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. After a rather tough play, Don Malbec's Gerard Roulin got a free kick in the 37th minute. A collision led to INTER FC getting a freekick after 45 minutes play. Frits Berendt hit a great ball. 47 minutes into the match, INTER FC's goal looked a bit too open when Gerard Roulin came free, but Edinho Lira reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

The supporters of INTER FC booed when Don Malbec was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 54 match minutes in a wonderful position. German Cristos didn't get a good kick on the ball. Bebeto Lucas charged in rather forcefully in the 57th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Bebeto Lucas the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to INTER FC getting a freekick after 58 minutes play. Bebeto Lucas hit a great ball. Edinho Lira took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gerard Roulin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. INTER FC made a substitution. The throw-in from German Cristos in the 70th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by INTER FC's Cássio Porto. An unexpectedly hard shot by Germano Luz in the 71st minute of play forced Don Malbec's goalkeeper Aurelio Astudillo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Alberto Udalaitz hit a great freekick 78 minutes into the match. Gugu Campidelis struck a weak shot in the 79th minute. Aurelio Astudillo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for INTER FC. Aurelio Astudillo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Germano Luz, who was totally free with the ball in the 91st minute. After a rather tough play, INTER FC's Bebeto Lucas got a free kick in the 92nd minute. Aurelio Astudillo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luís Ferreira, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The Don Malbec supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Don Malbec would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
