When the match clock showed 39 minutes, the score became 1-6 when José Luis Sánchez sped through LA MAQUINA F.C's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Higinio Porfiro. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ramiro Enrique in the 45th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Higinio Porfiro saved LA MAQUINA F.C from getting behind. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-7.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. José Luis Sánchez was the one to do the kick off. In the 52nd minute of the match, José Luis Sánchez got a very nice opportunity to score, but Higinio Porfiro was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Ediberto Righi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Loco Borja in the 86th minute of play. Higinio Porfiro didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Josemir Lujambio went, in the 90th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-12 was the resulting score. In the 94th minute, lןןl La Coconeta's Josemir Lujambio ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Higinio Porfiro. Higinio Porfiro yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-13. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. lןןl La Coconeta walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
