In the 5th minute Pedro Velloso suffered a thigh injury and had to be helped off the field. After 5 minutes, Alvise Sacchetti mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the XV de Indaial and the Gracie Barra players grew even worse after the yellow card. Gracie Barra's Snorri De Hond was substituted for Pedro Velloso. In the 6th match minute, XV de Indaial was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alvise Sacchetti to maneuver through the defense. Şamil Sağman recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 7th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Osmar Antunes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Snorri De Hond in the 9th minute of the match. Osmar Antunes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Snorri De Hond, who was totally free with the ball in the 11th minute. In the 14th match minute, XV de Indaial was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Osvaldinho de Sena to maneuver through the defense. In the 20th match minute, XV de Indaial was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Josué Galvão to maneuver through the defense. 23 minutes into the match, Augusto Saldanha notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of XV de Indaial's Osmar Antunes. Osmar Antunes was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Osmar Antunes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Augusto Saldanha in the 30th minute of play. After having played for 35 minutes, Josué Galvão managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. XV de Indaial's supporters crossed their fingers, but Josué Galvão was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Osmar Antunes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Snorri De Hond, who was totally free with the ball in the 38th minute. Ovidio Raymundo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 46th minute Snorri De Hond shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Osmar Antunes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Ovidio Raymundo to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 53rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Gracie Barra's goalkeeper Falcão Cunha, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 54 minutes into the match, XV de Indaial's goalkeeper Osmar Antunes had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Augusto Saldanha. In the 55th minute of the match Gracie Barra got a corner. XV de Indaial's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Şamil Sağman ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner ended in Şamil Sağman almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but XV de Indaial's Osmar Antunes did a great save. In the 58th minute Snorri De Hond shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Osmar Antunes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 64th minute, Gracie Barra's Augusto Saldanha dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-3. After some careless play in the Gracie Barra defense, Ovidio Raymundo kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Falcão Cunha. The Gracie Barra fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Falcão Cunha should have stopped the shot. In the 78th minute Gracie Barra were awarded a corner. Şamil Sağman went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner first didn't look so dangerous but when Rubens Rezende got the ball he succeeded in some way to get through the defenders to deliver a very hard score. Result 1-4. 78 minutes into the match. In the 82nd match minute, XV de Indaial was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alvise Sacchetti to maneuver through the defense. A hard shot by Şamil Sağman from long distance, 82 minutes into the match, got Osmar Antunes's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. Osmar Antunes made an important save on a dangerous shot by Augusto Saldanha in the 84th minute. Augusto Saldanha blasted a shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Osmar Antunes having to make a save. XV de Indaial's Osmar Antunes proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 85th minute of the match, managed to save XV de Indaial from getting a goal against them. Osmar Antunes made a fantastic save in the 87th minute, when Augusto Saldanha sent off a good shot on target. XV de Indaial's defense didn't have a chance, in the 92nd minute, when Snorri De Hond scored to the left of an out of position Osmar Antunes, making the score, 1-5. After a rather tough play, XV de Indaial's Osvaldinho de Sena got a free kick in the 95th minute. The XV de Indaial supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Gracie Barra's performance. The match ended with a win for Gracie Barra.
