Feng Cheng Ling recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 3rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. RIVER's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Domingo Remigio in the 7th minute. Gregório Neiva blasted a shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Marcial Lordi having to make a save. Marcial Lordi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gregório Neiva in the 15th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gregório Neiva in the 18th minute of play forced RIVER's goalkeeper Marcial Lordi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Mira United FC's Eriberto Bonadona proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 21st minute of the match, managed to save Mira United FC from getting a goal against them. In the 24th minute Gregório Neiva shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marcial Lordi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Domingo Remigio kicked well hit freekick during the 25th minute of the match. Marcial Lordi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Vicente Mafra, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 30 played minutes Mira United FC got a freekick which was hit by Nel Ybarbo. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gregório Neiva in the 32nd minute of play forced RIVER's goalkeeper Marcial Lordi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Eriberto Bonadona showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Niki Lauda in the 34th minute of the match. Eriberto Bonadona showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Niki Lauda, who was totally free with the ball in the 34th minute. When Gregório Neiva came up free with the goalie in the 38th minute, the Mira United FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gregório Neiva couldn't finish the play. In the 41st minute the ball was on its way in behind RIVER's goalkeeper Marcial Lordi, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After some careless play in the RIVER defense, Gregório Neiva kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Marcial Lordi. The RIVER fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Marcial Lordi should have stopped the shot. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Gregório Neiva made a kick off. Eriberto Bonadona took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eric Târban, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 60 minutes had been played when some careless play by RIVER's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Feng Cheng Ling was slow to take the kick. During this time Mira United FC's players had a chance to rest. Mira United FC's Feng Cheng Ling was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Marcial Lordi in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Vicente Mafra in the 60th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Marcial Lordi saved RIVER from getting behind. 62 minutes into the game, RIVER's Niki Lauda nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Eriberto Bonadona made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. Eriberto Bonadona showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fidel Gora, who was totally free with the ball in the 67th minute. Mira United FC's Dércio Moreira managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Marcelino Raposo in the 81 minute of the game. Gregório Neiva recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 82nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. With a little luck, RIVER's Marcial Lordi got control of the ball when Gregório Neiva tried to sneak it across the goal line. RIVER's Marcial Lordi proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 87th minute of the match, managed to save RIVER from getting a goal against them. Marcial Lordi made a fantastic save in the 87th minute, when Gregório Neiva sent off a good shot on target. Gregório Neiva struck a weak shot in the 88th minute. Marcial Lordi didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Mira United FC. After 90 played minutes RIVER got a freekick which was hit by Marcelino Raposo. RIVER's Marcial Lordi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gregório Neiva in the 94th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in RIVER's zone, Gregório Neiva stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Marcial Lordi came out of the goal and Gregório Neiva tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. RIVER succeeded in salvaging a draw, even though Mira United FC had controlled the match.
