Henning Gregersson made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ulysses Madureira in the 8th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tadeusz Dynda in the 10th minute of play forced Clapham Comets F.C.'s goalkeeper Ariel Leguizamón to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Clapham Comets F.C. booed when Macvanagu FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 10 match minutes in a wonderful position. Haroldo Abadia didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Ulysses Madureira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Henning Gregersson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mitchell Godwin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Marcin Cebula sent away a hard shot on goal in the 30th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Aaron Rambo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 34th minute of the match, but Henning Gregersson made a huge save. Mitchell Godwin in the 38thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Henning Gregersson, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. In the 39th match minute, Macvanagu FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nemesio Machado to maneuver through the defense. Henning Gregersson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Marcin Cebula in the 43rd minute of the match. With a little luck, Macvanagu FC's Henning Gregersson got control of the ball when Mitchell Godwin tried to sneak it across the goal line. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Melchor Esiquio to make the kick off. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ulysses Madureira in the 58th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Henning Gregersson saved Macvanagu FC from getting behind. When the match clock showed 87 minutes, the score became 2-0 when Ulysses Madureira sped through Macvanagu FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Henning Gregersson. Clapham Comets F.C.'s supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
