Henk Jonckers tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the match clock showed 16 minutes, the score became 1-0 when Okan Koc sped through KV Schoonwater's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Henk Jonckers. After 20 played minutes Tomasz Gacek rounded KV Schoonwater's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 2-0. Through an outstanding action, after 24 minutes, Henk Jonckers successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. In the 26th minute Pino Van Hinnendaels shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Martin Crețu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
