The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. José Vítor Netto came out of the goal in the 5th minute to try and stop a shot by Csabrendek Zombies's Amerigo Costanzo. But to his dismay, Amerigo Costanzo quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Cristiano Quercia fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 8th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without José Vítor Netto having to interfere. 11 minutes into the match, Botafogo MZRJ's goal looked a bit too open when Gösta Giliusson came free, but José Vítor Netto reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. José Vítor Netto showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gösta Giliusson, who was totally free with the ball in the 12th minute. A collision led to Csabrendek Zombies getting a freekick after 13 minutes play. Stig Browall hit a great ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Szilveszter Szűcs in the 16th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck José Vítor Netto prevented the ball from getting in the gole. José Vítor Netto showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Amerigo Costanzo in the 18th minute of the match. If Gösta Giliusson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Cristiano Quercia sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. José Vítor Netto showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Amerigo Costanzo, who was totally free with the ball in the 29th minute. Csabrendek Zombies's Balázs Sipos proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 31st minute of the match, managed to save Csabrendek Zombies from getting a goal against them. Gáspár Varsányi made in the 34th minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Cristiano Quercia however managed to control. 37 minutes into the game, Csabrendek Zombies's Amerigo Costanzo nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. José Vítor Netto made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-4. In the 40th minute Amerigo Costanzo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but José Vítor Netto saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Csabrendek Zombies's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Szilveszter Szűcs in the 42nd minute. 43 minutes had been played when some careless play by Botafogo MZRJ's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Szilveszter Szűcs was slow to take the kick. During this time Csabrendek Zombies's players had a chance to rest. José Vítor Netto showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Amerigo Costanzo in the 45th minute of the match. After the first half Csabrendek Zombies were leading 0-4. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Jailson Capixaba was the one to do the kick off. When Alberto Novaes fell near the penalty area in the 54th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Botafogo MZRJ's protests and gave Alberto Novaes a yellow card for diving instead. Alberto Novaes kicked well hit freekick during the 55th minute of the match. José Vítor Netto made an important save on a dangerous shot by Gösta Giliusson in the 58th minute. In the 60th minute, Szilveszter Szűcs got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Csabrendek Zombies's Szilveszter Szűcs got a good chance for a goal in the 67th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Csabrendek Zombies's Gösta Giliusson in the 77th minute got a chance for a shot 77th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Botafogo MZRJ's goalie prevented a goal. 78 minutes into the match, Cristiano Quercia dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of José Vítor Netto, 0-6. José Vítor Netto took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gösta Giliusson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Sidnei Amaral during the 86th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 86th match minute, Botafogo MZRJ was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sidnei Amaral to maneuver through the defense. Léo Baptista hit a great freekick 87 minutes into the match. Szilveszter Szűcs struck a weak shot in the 88th minute. José Vítor Netto didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Csabrendek Zombies. Botafogo MZRJ's José Vítor Netto played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Amerigo Costanzo in the 93rd minute of play. In the 94th minute Amerigo Costanzo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but José Vítor Netto saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 95th minute, Amerigo Costanzo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Csabrendek Zombies's supporters rose to their feet, but Amerigo Costanzo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. José Vítor Netto breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.
